I am so excited to have your students in my class this year, and hope that both you and they have a fabulous time. My goal is to not only teach them academic knowledge within the classroom, but stir within them a passion for learning outside of a set environment. Beyond that, my passion is to instill positive, healthy relationships...and with that, allowing our classroom to be a safe place to learn what that looks like as well as where they can practice it.
Classroom Vision:
1. Always speak in such a way that is positive and uplifting.
2. Clear communication between students and teacher, students and peers, and parents and teachers.
3. You will receive as much out of this year, as what you put into it.
Helpful Information:
1. Every Friday a folder that contains newsletters, important information, and past assignments will be sent home with your student and must be returned the following Monday SIGNED.
2. Students will be expected to complete their homework in due time, with the exception of a parent letter or exemption.
3. UP COMING PROJECT! Due October 31st.
Project Details:
Students are currently in a writing unit on researching different animals. At the end of this unit, students are asked to create their own personal diorama on one of the animals and their environments that we have studied.
Project Guidelines:
1. Must be on an animal we have covered
2. Diorama must be in a shoe-box (or similar sized box)
3. Must contain figures of chosen animal, as well as what their typical environment would look like
4. Should take up the entire "box"
Here is a video example of animal dioramas to get your juices flowing!
